For Leaner Bodies and Increased Fitness, Tampa Bay 'Tough Guys' Use 40 lb. Sandbags, Old Tires and Empty Kegs To Train Outdoors
With the high drop out rate amongst "New Years Resolution Exercisers," a group of 12 St. Petersburg men have been keeping it fun and meeting their fitness goals with outdoor "Primal" strength camps. St. Petersburg, FL (PRWeb) February 28, 2007 -- Primal Strength Camps, a Florida company that trains athletes and men, ages 19-59, has been supporting 12 men in their strength and weight loss goals with non-traditional exercise methods and outdoor fitness 'strength camps'.

The days of long, boring cardio routines performed on expensive, yet useless aerobic machines at the local gym are over. Sports science has proven, time and again, that the best fat loss results are achieve with a combination of weight training and high tempo intervals. Besides begin several times more effective for weight loss and constructing lean muscle, training outdoors with the fresh air and sunshine is fun and a great break from the dusty corners of the local gymnasium.

What makes outdoor Strength Camps so unique and interesting is that it uses a plethora of non-traditional items to rev-up the metabolism and increase muscle gains in men. Of the several new and exciting techniques used is Sled Dragging. Dragging home made sleds constructed from old tires and towrope is a lot of fun and is great for strengthening your glutes, core and hamstrings. Other implements include 40 lb. sandbags, empty kegs, and a 400 lb. tractor tire used for end-over-end flipping.

Getting fit has never been so fun and effective. The fitness results are incredible and the retention rate has been 100%. This is very rare for any exercise and fitness program.
