The occurrence of children's cancer in the US is increasing annually; in fact, the rate of cancer in teens is increasing at a greater rate than other cancers, including breast, prostrate, and lung. More children are diagnosed with cancer than with AIDS, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies COMBINED. Children's cancer has no known cause, and its diagnosis is a shock to the family. Treatment will cost the family approximately 53% of their annual gross income. One-third of the children diagnosed will die from their cancer.
