A trend among younger college-educated consumers, unlike traditional consumers, who spend for status, are financially-focused on purchases like cars, books and flights and… home mortgages. They're also looking for lenders they can trust. According to a Wall Street J /Harris Interactive survey of 2,300 adults, nearly one in five recent homebuyers were able to purchase a home in 2005 that exceeded their price range. With statistics like this, it is hard to believe mortgage loan providers are prioritizing the financial interests of their clients.
