The 2GB microSD is aimed to meet the demand of current and next generation multimedia featured handsets armed with MP3 playback, video recording, and higher megapixel picture shooting. The 2GB also doubles the amount of mobile content such as applications, games, ringtones, and wallpapers to be stored in a single card over the previous 1GB maximum capacity.
The Trio Professional Plus, recently awarded as a winner of the 2007 CES Innovations Award, is differentiated from other SD flash products on the market in that it allows for compatibility and direct transferability with all three SD formats (microSD, miniSD, SD) and USB in a single storage device. The advantage of this 'all-in-one' product is further enhanced with 2GB of storage.
"The 2GB microSD and SD Trio are milestone products that we are proud to bring to the marketplace," said Michael Plaksin, ATP Vice President of Flash Media Sales. "People love the SD Trio Plus product because of its flexibility and convenience. You can take a picture on your microSD camera-phone, backup your miniSD PDA, record video on your SD digital camcorder, and transfer all of it to your laptop with the same device. With this interoperability and broad application, you naturally will need a higher capacity and the 2GB was developed to meet this demand."
ATP's new 2GB microSD, SD Trio, and MS Pro Duo/microSD combo products are available immediately and offer the same advanced features as ATP's other flash card products, with ample protection from water, dust, ESD (electrostatic discharge), and extreme temperatures ranging from -40C to 85C.
These products are also available in capacities of 1GB, 512MB, 256MB and 128MB. For more details please visit the ATP website at www.atpinc.com.
